On this sisterhood call we had the Meditation challenge (5 minutes a day). Soon that conversation blossomed into so much more in this sacred circle and we got some really practical applications on how to live our best lives by committing to joy and self-care.
I know these meditation/mindfulness tips will help all of us stay more joyful, more present and connected in these uncertain times. We dug really deep, and touched on lineage healing, sacred spaces and the importance of rituals.
We discussed how allowing ourselves to enter into suffering is the best way to extend self-compassion in any situation. This is when we break out of the cocoon and spread our wings to become our truest selves.
This healing sets us free and allows us to focus on the present moment, which is all we really have.
Take a listen for yourselves, I know you will find something that resonates with you. Here is a little preview of my favorite moments:
1. Meditation can be done anywhere, and can take any form. Here are some practical ways to find mindfulness and presence each day. Take a walk and notice everything that is green, everything that is blooming, sit with a favorite mug, find a spot of your home/yard that brings you peace, count or focus on your breath.
2. Allow suffering to teach you, to show you what needs to change or improve. It is how we grow/morph into who we are meant to be.
3. Remember the importance of a ritual such as a morning routine. Having a ritual allows you to make a mind shift or transition and brings you into presence.

Gold Tip: try to keep a “Bad Assery List” or “Greatest Hits” list in your purse so you can remind yourself of how truly awesome you are.
