Course Considerations
This course is designed for pelvic health physical therapists looking to improve their skill sets and work more confidently with difficult female pelvic pain conditions. The class is also great for any health professionals working with women who want to expand their confidence and expertise, and create a new revenue stream. For optimal success you should have:
- Knowledge of pelvic floor muscle anatomy, external vulvar-vaginal anatomy, nerve anatomy, pelvic and hip bony landmarks from a collegiate level source like Netters or Gray’s is a plus.
- Experience with pelvic floor external palpation is helpful.
- Previous education coursework with external pelvic floor palpation is recommended. Pelvic Floor Level 1 from Herman Wallace, APTA or equivalent experience is recommended but not required.

ABOUT ISA HERRERA, MSPT, CSCS
Isa Herrera, MSPT, CSCS is a licensed physical therapist and an expert in integrative pelvic floor therapies in the field of women’s health. She is an expert on pelvic pain and has treated thousands of women in her NYC based healing center Renew Physical Therapy. She is an adjunct professor at Hunter College in New York and teaches pelvic floor techniques to 3rd year Doctoral level physical therapy students. Isa has pioneered the use of Low Level Laser Therapy for pelvic floor conditions since 2005, and it is with great excitement that she brings this continuing education course to a wider audience. Her findings have been published in Practical Pain Management and and 10 years of her work are now available in this course.
Ms. Herrera is the author of four books, three of which are on the topic of pelvic pain, and she lectures nationally on the topic of women’s health. She has made it her life’s mission to help women overcome pelvic pain, and also to educate professionals on the right mix of evidence-based and integrative techniques to help patients achieve lifelong health and wellness.
